Haven't made a night trip this year yet but is one of my favorite trips to make, especially july august when its so damn hot!
Not sure how effective bringing your own lights would be as I would imagine bait is attracted to the consistent lights of an oil rig that are on every night for years and years so a pattern is established.

My buddy has been catching them pretty good fishing out of Dularge at night. Not sure where he's running to.
