re: transplanting a tree

I'd probably wait until the tree is dormant, which I'd say Dec-Jan to make sure. I have heard of pre-cutting the root ball several months prior to re-locating (but leave the tree in its original spot until time to re-locate), but you might research that yourself. How big and what species is this tree? Might do more damage to the azalea than the tree is worth.
