I agree, the Lakes are a big deal, they represent EBR, and should be maintained and improved.

BREC is in charge of City Park and the Lake. BREC has a big revenue stream, and a large reserve. I'd like to see them use some of that reserve, and go after state and federal funds and do this project. I don't see the need for another tax.

I'd put the Lake project very high in the pecking order of things. Ahead of bike trails, the zoo, etc.

The library system seems to be doing well too, but I think after this round of construction they need to stop. They need to look at keeping what they have in good shape.
