I agree IMO. It kind of annoyed me that after everything he had been through that Harry was still just average and defeated one of the most powerful wizards of all time through unbelievable amounts of help and luck and it's like that for almost every hero series these days.
I did love the Horcrux stuff, but still, Harry seemed nerfed as hell. He did some rare bits of magic, but nothing that would actually help him if he had to face a wizard one on one.
