There's a really nice middle class black neighborhood in South Monroe that was up in arms about section 8 a couple of years ago. I don't know how that all turned out.

They are building a section 8 old folks home outside my old neighborhood. People are freaking the hell out. At first I didn't think it would be bad but there isnt a restriction on who can live there with the geezers. Plus metro will soon be out there and if metro comes property values are sure to drop.

Thankfully Fairfield seems to keep out the low income projects but who knows with Castro and the HUD's goals.
