I stumbled across it this weekend, first time i had seen it in a long time. Good, entertaining film, part of, I'm not sure comeback is the right word, but the start of a nice run for Micheal Douglas in the 80's.

Sure you aren't confusing him with his father? I don't believe Michael had been acting very long when this came out so I don't see how it could be a comeback.

Romancing the Stone was Michael Douglas's first big hit as the main actor. Most of his other early hits were him as a producer. I guess his other early hit as an actor was The China Syndrome, but Jack Lemon was the bigger star in that film.
