I got spanked with a paddle in school.
My sons school in ascension parish, as recently as a couple years ago sent home a corporal punishment form asking for permission to paddle if need be. Now there were stipulations to it. Like they'd call first and it wasn't the first line of punishment etc, but I made my son watch me sign it and send it back.
