Kige the comment about returning the baseball regular season to its historical length.

Reducing the number of teams won't happen because the other owners won't want to pony up and pay off the teams being removed. It would be nice, but it won't happen.

There is 15 million people in the LA, MS, AL, TN, and northern FL area with no team. NOLA, Bham, Nashville, or the gulf coast would be a better option than giving Tx another team, or trying Canada again.

The union won't stand for it either. That's 100 jobs disappearing.

Plus whatever teams you try to contract, the local stadium authority will go to court to enforce the lease and will win. MLB would end up having to pay off the stadium debt to get them to back off.
