I don't think anybody will he crying because T-Boudreau can no longer buy that Ford Raptor just because he's flush with per diem..
But at the same time, there are lots of hardworking people (engineering, sales, etc) at smaller businesses in south LA that do primarily oilfield work. Those are the people and the companies to worry about

I've seen a few posts like this. Guys, my business is not helped or hurt by the price of oil, whether it's low or high. It does have some effect on my own personal living expenses, but it's not a huge difference one way or the other in the overall scheme of things. Some people are helped by this, some are hurt. For the latter, I don't take any pleasure in their misfortune, it's more like black humor, because I've been there done that in other contexts. Just wanted to clear that up. Carry on.

I mean its sad, but at the same time it will help tons of other people in a lot of other fields in this country if oil and the resulting products are cheaper.
