Not enough public transit infrastructure in Baton Rouge for this either.
They need to be spending money on a loop for BR instead of this stupid bullshite.

Public transportation in Baton Rouge has seen a significant increase in utilization over the last couple of years after the CATS tax was enacted. If trends continue, traffic is expected to decrease by upwards of 65%. Bottom line: This railroad will produce extreme profit levels within 10 years of completion.

Until fuel prices rise substantially and force it, this aggression will not stand.
There's not the support network once the riders get to their destinations.
Cabs, Uber, city buses, streetcars? While they might be there, they aren't cheap or necessarily convenient.
