Nah, it's just a human thing + a numbers game.

Check this out. I'm a male between 25-35 in Baton Rouge. That means there are 88,100 females within my target age range. Let's say half of them are attractive, that's 44,000 potential mates. Just in Baton Rouge.

Let's say half of those are within my general interest group. That's 22,000.

Let's say of those, half are attracted to me. That's 11,000.

So just 1/8 of the population are potential mates with a high probability of pairing off. You seriously think that someone would limit themselves to .009% of their potential? That's absurd.

But hey, do that. More choice for me.
