Starting on Tuesday, you can stream Showtime without a cable subscription.
The streaming-only service, which is supported by both Apple devices and Roku, is $10.99 per month, four dollars less than HBO’s streaming-only service, which debuted exclusively on Apple devices in April (it has since expanded to Android devices as well). Showtime’s new service can also be streamed over the Internet on any device.
The service is part of a wider trend within the broadcasting industry to give viewers an option to “cut the cord.” CBS Corporation, which owns Showtime, unveiled CBS All Access, a streaming service for $6 per month, last year.

Directv pretty much gives it to me for free anytime I call in....and I have to think about it

TBH their streaming selection of movies is complete shite compared to even what HBO offers. It's incredibly tiny to the point that the only reason to subscribe would be if you LOVE Showtime shows.

Yeah, $10.99 is a bit much for Homeland. IMO Netflix is a much better service for the same price.

maybe if they put the full lineup of movies that they show on TV onto the streaming service it would be worth it.
I get Showtime streaming via their current cable subscriber app on the Roku and the current streaming options for the it are just really poor.
I may be exaggerating but I feel like its only 30-40 movies with HBO being at least double to triple that.
If I couldn't also record movies on the DVR it really wouldnt be worth it to me.
Hell, I watch the TV series on Starz more than I do Showtime these days.
