Yes, you will need surgery and someone to place the packing in the open wound once you return home. Trust me you will feel 100 x's better. I had 2 surgeries while in college. Oh and sit in hot bath as many times a day that you can.

My surgeon told me it's possible to come back, but not where it originated. He was right because I didn't have anymore until 30 years later, about an inch away from the first one!
