Huh? i would say absolutely a $1M home will spend over 5% on upkeep if the work is all done by outside workers.
Cleaning/maid
yard/landscaping
maintenance
pool costs--chemicals furnishings-repairs--cleaning
property taxes
electricity
gas
alarm
etc etc etc
