$50/year bike registration fees to help pay for the roads and offset loss of revenue from vehicle registration and gas tax.

Again, I have a truck and so pay the registration fees and gas tax. Again, registration fees and gas tax pay for almost nothing in terms of local roads....it's property taxes. But most cycling advocates are in favor of the bike registration fee. But when you look at the reality of administering that, it just doesn't make cents. There are so many moving parts to keeping track of a bicycle.

Many joggers, including myself, use the road. Many places there are no sidewalks.....even in my neighborhood which is an in city hood. And when there are sidewalks they are in such disrepair they are not useable. Tonight, there will be many people pushing strollers, walking dogs and jogging in my hood all on the street.
