Alabama recruits at an almost untouchable level. Seriously. Nick Saban gets the best talent on a yearly basis. If anything, his on field results are just slightly underachieving compared to his recruiting rankings.

That's funny, every preseason since 2011 this board is filled with posters crowing that "Alabama is rebuilding this year! This is our year! Alabama's lost this! Alabama's lost that! Alabama has a new and inexperienced quarterback!,etc. etc."

Since 2011, the consensus from the Rant resident experts is that every year the gumps are rebuilding and we have a ton of talent coming back or coming in and it is our year.

Then every year we finish in the middle of the SEC West pack and the "rebuilding" gumps go to the BCS national championship game or the playoffs.

I've never seen any close-to-significant number of posters on here say in any preseason: "Oh, we're the underdogs! Alabama has so much more talent than us!"

Well its sort of easier if you haven't played the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place east finisher in 5 years like bama. Bama hasn't played Uga since 2008 and hasn't played South Car since 2010. Since 2009 bama has played Uga,uf,and usc a total of 3 times while lsu has played those 3 a total of 9 times. It makes winning the west far easier. Also when Tex A&M and Mizz cane into the sec in 2012 every sec west team had 3 sec west home games except 1 team. 1 team had 4 sec west home games. Wanna take a guess which sec west team got an extra home game?
