One hundred percent correct. Anyone who doesn't read it this way has serious reading comprehension issues.
This line doesn't suggest Payton might leave, it suggests he might get fired:

Because Rotoworld did a terrible job of summing up King's stupid thoughts. From the MMQB:
If I had to guess somebody at Rotoworld heard what King said then read the first line of his blurb(or didn't read it at all)and missed the point.
