I can't do the math because I hate math.. but the important numbers are 4.7 Billion miles to Pluto and an average space rocket travels at 4.9 miles a second

I saw this cool interactive thing that helped you gauge the distances in space.

I remember something about how you could drive 70mph non stop for 25 years and you'd just be halfway between Mars and Jupiter.

I would think that's only if they're both perfectly aligned. All of the planets in this system are rotating around the sun and not aligned.

Might be even longer than that. It took a very long time for Voyager to reach the outer regions of the solar system.

Plus Pluto has a lopsided orbit. It would make it even harder to get close.

Me too. I was too young to remember the Voyager missions, so it's awesome to be able to say I'm getting to see Pluto for the first time with the rest of humanity.
