Because Hathaway's time distortion was the same as Cooper's. She just made it to Edward's planet and sent out the signal it was hospitable at the end of the movie.

And because of them skipping across the black hole, the people on Earth had already solved the gravity equation and built the ships. They got the signal and headed to the wormhole location to find MM floating in space.
