After a couple consecutive losses in the middle of the of the Yankees series, the Astros have now won 2 straight, and throw The Kid Dallas Kuechel out against KC. Keuchel is currently the Cy Young favorite according to ESPN's Cy Young Predictor and looks to throw another gem at home. KC counters with Danny Duffy, who's 5.44 ERA and 1.70 WHIP look juicy for Astros hitters to take advantage of.

Encouraging trends from last night include a team K/BB ratio of 8/7, Domingo Santana contributing 2 RBI and Ryno becoming an Astros Community leader

Disturbing trends include Springer and Correa going a combined 0-8, but if we can win games with those 2 contributing little offensively, we will be alright.

That's not community leaders. That's sponsorship for NARC.

News of note:

Feldman will be throwing a simulated game today at MMP. If all goes well, he could head down to the minors for a rehab start next week sometime. If all goes well there, he may be able to start back in the rotation after the all star game.

Marisnick is running agility drills but is still probably a week away. They may just keep him sidelined until after the ASG.

Qualls has a pinched nerve in his neck and is not even playing catch at the moment. He is undergoing treatment.

Lowrie has progressed from swinging a whiffle ball bat to a fungo. He's also taking infield. According to AJ, fielding & throwing is not a problem, but they're taking a very cautious approach with his swinging.

Feldman being able to return after the ASG would be excellent. Obie may be SOL if that's the case because I don't see where he fits unless they move Velasquez down or to the bullpen, which I wouldn't agree with and don't see them doing.

If anybody with extensive MLB experience is going to get dealt before the deadline, it'll be Obie. I would guess it's better than 50/50 he's gone.
