Absolutely. Some of the nicest people I've ever met were from Minnesota, North Dakota and Alberta.

Yes. Let's not group the North into one large group. The Midwest is very different from the Northeast and probably has more in common with the South than it does with the urban Northeast due to our shared connection of being people of the land. By that I mean here in the upper Midwest we are very aware of our rural heritage. We are still an agricultural society with a strong connection to the outdoors.

Iowa and Nebraska have harvest seasons. In South Dakota the pheasant opener or "Opening Day" is a state holiday. In North Dakota it is the Deer Opener and in Minnesota it is the Walleye Opener. In the fall you will see Oktoberfest celebrations across the Midwest from Remsen, IA to New Ulm, MN to Milwaukee, WI with people celebrating their German heritage. There are also large groups of Norwegians and other Northern European peoples who celebrate their heritage.

Come up here and you will see just as many pickup trucks, camoflauge, guns, hunter orange, and boats and campers as you will in the South. The difference is up here our boats are walleye boats where you guys sport bass boats and we fish the hardwater with fish shacks and ice augers in the winter.

Minnesota Nice is a real thing, those Cheeseheads from Wisconsin really are that much fun, Iowans and Nebraskans go out of their way to help their neighbors, and the people of the Dakotas are salt of the earth type of people. People from the Midwest are known for their work ethic and it is a real thing. It is something hereditary, passed down from our immigrant forefathers who settled in this area of the country, plowed the land, and scrapped together a living out of nothing.

So yeah, I would say Southern Pride exists and you should be proud of it. Just like up here in the Midwest (the original Big Ten Country) we have pride from where we are from and the Yankess up in the Northeast in Conn, Mass, and NY have pride in their region of the country.

The south shouldnt be either.

South La is completely different than the rest of the south. And a lot of other places that some consider "the south", I dont.

Yes, I may have some southern pride or whatever. But mainly it is South La pride.

Some of the worst accents imaginable. Im looking at you Minnesota and Wisconsin. Only one worse is Boston/New York/Northeast mainly because of their attitudes mixed with the accent.

I never understood why people from NYC and other big dirty cities in the northeast are so proud. I don't even go out of my way to visit there.
