I know you hate LeBron the most (and I'm a Jordan GOAT guy so I enjoy some of your trolling), but this is just part of maximizing his salary after signing with another team without a sign and trade. Everyone knew this was going to happen.
And yes, he doesn't 100% trust a rather incompetent Cavs franchise not to frick up the offseason so he is protecting himself. Any superstar in his shoes would do the same thing these days. Nothing to see here.

Uh...yeah...
Look at everyone else in the league opting out. This isn't exactly unusual behavior or even unexpected. If it is a big deal it is only because the media (and you) are making it into a big deal.
