One of my longest friends from childhood has always been gay. I knew it around middle school. He's happily with his husband for over ten years so I have meet plenty of gay partners and they are all just regular people that like each other.

Plus the side benefit of being friendly with some gays is the ladies that follow them around. I have taken advantage of some pretty hot girls I meet throu my gay friend.
