Nike Golf 360. I'm sure there are better ones out there, but it works.

Same here. They're just trying to introduce some newer courses and styles because many believe these types of courses are the future of golf. (Though less maintenance costs, I'm sure) Plus a regular joe can play these courses.
I would compare this course more to the new Pinehurst #2 (just add trees) than Chambers Bay. I've never played Chambers Bay, though.
