Sorry for your loss man. One of mine is 15 and it's getting tough for him to walk. Patagonia recently sponsored a video about this guy Ben Moon and his pup Denali. It's a little cheesy at parts, but I felt like it really accurately summed up the bond between a human and his pup...especially one of those good pups that doesn't come along too often. Keep your head up, and when the time is right, get you another. Not to replace your old pup, but just to fill the void left by a lost dog. I won't speak for everyone, but as a person who loves dogs and loves training dogs, my life feels much less full without one.
