I know the dude who holds the #9 spot for most connections... he's a self-employed, ex-Private Eye in DC.
I use LinkedIn on a daily basis. (I too am in Sales)
eta: anyone every been "stalked" on LinkedIn? There was a dude in Austin who would visit my page on a weekly basis for nearly 6 months... I subtlely bad mouthed his company to one of his clients and I suspect it got back to him.

A co-worker and I were just making fun of those people today.
I immediately disregard anything someone with L.I.O.N. next to their name.
fricking vapid, self-centered assholes...
