Yosemite is very crowded so keep that in mind. We went last April and there was a freak spring storm with 20 degree temps one night. It was still crowded that weekend. I can't imagine how crowded it is when people don't cancel their plans.
Having said all that, do yourselves a favor and GO! It's truly amazing. Just keep the crowd expectations in check and be sure to get on some trails like Panorama, Mariposa Grove etc. consider Artist Point as well... It was stunning. We were seemingly alone on these trails. Most of the crowd sticks to the valley viewpoint trails.
