That's dumb. you paying for insurance and have to report the claim regardless, might as well get your monies out of your policy because you going to be getting arse raped soon enough.

yes, but the broader lesson is to teach my child the consequences of his actions and taking responsibility for mistakes.

If it ever happens, I will then give more thought into whether it is wise to process the claim but my first reaction would be to let him struggle a little bit.
