Yesterday's game was rained out. That always sucks. Yesterday's starters get pushed to today.

The big news is that Kyle Schwarber will be called up to DH and hopefully play some catcher for the five road interleague games starting tomorrow. I'm not going to sit here and gloat that I was right, but I was right. It's good to be right...even if it's one time out of a hundred.

The plan for Schwarber is to DH, pinch hit and get some innings at catcher and LF in his brief callup. After the series with the Twins, he'll be sent back down to AAA Iowa...the ole promotion wrapped in a demotion trick.

Arismendy Alcantara K'd 3 times in yesterday's I-Cubs game, but he also smoked two dongs.

I am completely unaware of this Ryan Williams (RHP) character the Cubs have in their minor league system, but he's apparently a prospect now as he K'd 7 over 6.0 IP and scattered three hits and two walks.

The Cubs are 7 games over .500 in mid-June...would you have thought that going into the season? I would have taken it in a heartbeat on Opening Day. They're currently in 3rd in the NL Centeral behind the evil, no good dirty Hackers and the Pirates. The Cubs are 7.0 games back of St. Louis, 1.0 game back of Pittsburgh and all three clubs have been 7-3 in their last 10 games.

Let's take a minute...or several months...to sit our smug, Cardinal hating fart clouds of hate while St. Louis gets investigated for hate-hacking the Houston Astros.
