2 consecutive routine plays and then let it get to his head. Game was essentially lost at that point.

No it wasn't. It wasn't even close to over at that point.

True, but he is responsible for who he puts out there. Games like yesterday are always at the feet of the coaches. The players deserve their share, but the job of a manager is to, you know, manage. And he failed to do that.

Dunn came out after the second error, right? How many more mound visits were made between that and pulling Poche?

That baffled me, why didn't Dunn come out after the single in the 5th? Then the next batter walked on 4 pitches, w/ 1 of the pitches being a wild pitch allowing the runners to advance. He definitely should have come to the mound then. I can only assume that they were waiting for Newman to be ready and new he would come in, but why not use it as a delay tactic.

Hindsight is great, but we can only imagine what would have happened had Newman come in before Hale's error allowed the score. If Newman can pitch lights out, it's only 2-0 going into the bottom of the 5th & they leave the bases loaded

very deflating though giving up unearned runs after getting thrown out at the plate. Did they ever say why JF was thrown out at the plate? Bad jump? great play? with 2 outs and as fast as he is I didn't think it should have been close.
