Slaughter deciding to focus on baseball hurts, but they're still top 50 easily. They'll still go deep and likely make it to the DOME.

bump with the first half of the countdown over... the biggest shocks so far are Evangel at #28 and De La Salle at #46

you also have to wonder where are the teams from the southwest portion of the state. you'll probably see Acadiana, STM, and Teurlings and maybe Barbe, but that part of the state is so top heavy...

gonna bump this... i thought HC wasn't making the top 50 after going 5-6 last year, but apparently they're predicted better than both Evangel AND Calvary (sans Shea)?

now it's time to list teams that haven't been listed... John Curtis, Rummel, Landry Walker, Teurlings Catholic, West Monroe, Neville, Destrehan, Zachary, Acadiana, (probably not in that order)

Dallas Jackson listed a preseason top 15 of
1 Rummel (Metarie)
2 West Monroe
3 Zachary
4 Neville
5 Acadiana (Lafayette)
6 U-Lab (Baton Rouge) #18
7 Destrehan
8 John Curtis (River Ridge)
9 Evangel Christian (Shreveport) #28
10 Scotlandville (Baton Rouge) #37
11 St. Paul’s (Covington) #26
12 John Ehret (Marrero) #16
13 Parkway (Bossier City) #12
14 Hahnville (Boutte) #17
15 Teurling Catholic (Lafayette)

Jesuit has everyone right where they want them again. I am pretty sure Nola ranks them last in CL and in mid 40's automatically every year without updating their spreadsheet.

Anyone else saw their schedule?

8/28 St. Paul Jamboree
9/4 University High
9/12 Covington
9/18 Wayne County- Mississippi
9/26 Don Bosco Prep- New Jersey
10/3 Archbishop Shaw
10/9 Holy Cross
10/17 Jesuit
10/24 Brother Martin
10/31 John Curtis
11/7 St. Augustine

Roth definitely is not afraid to schedule competition this year.

If they roll through that undefeated they might be national champs.
