California and Texas are really leading the way...showing how it is done. Interesting thing is their politics are completely on the opposite ends of the spectrum, but both states are doing quite well economically.

Question: For economic prosperity does it matter which way a state leans, left or right? The charts seems to say it does not.

Ultimately, all of the states are leaning the same direction. Not nearly the difference between Republicans and Democrats (especially economically) as they like you to believe.

Based on the chart, I would say it has more to do with the size of the population of each state.
