i guess i mean closer to places to eat, movie theaters, shopping, etc....

overall, BR doesn't offer much in terms of "things to do" outside of LSU sports, but there's more there than in Geismar for sure... but at least in Geismar i don't have to pay for private school....

Pffft .. you don't think Ascension parish feels like BR ?? Traffic is fricking horrible in AP .. AP's schools are getting overcrowded far faster than they can build them .. the entire parish's sewer system is incredibly antiquated and is getting over tapped with all of the development going on down there without regard to organized growth .. Between the schools and the sewer system, along with other assorted infrastructure, AP probably needs $2 Billion just to solve these issues .. There ain't enough sales tax revenue down there to cover that .. so .. hello $12K property taxes in the next 10 years ..
