They almost won Friday it was their only shot to try to steal one with Lange on the mound.

The first game in a best of three is so critical. No one spots anyone the first game. If you asked Tony Robicheaux, I'm sure he would say that his plan was to win game 1 and game 2. The fan delusion after game 1 made me want to slap someone to wake them up.

ULL always plays competitive baseball. Always will. They didn't spot LSU anything, and they played very well.

If by "almost won," you mean never had a lead, then sure, they almost won.

How the hell is bringing the game to a tie and never holding a lead at any point in either game "almost winning"?
