Ended up with about 15 trout and a few reds. Couldn't get a bite on elmers without live shrimp. Ended up going to get some after boats with shrimp were pulling trout out of the same water we were fishing.

Came back and caught about 25-30 trout. A lot of undersized trout. Then hooked into a big arse jack that pulled me over a mile in the yak. Caught a few reds and a few more trout. Biggest about 18"

Talked to people on elmers. Said they habe caught 700 trout over the last 4 days, all on topwater. Only caught 10 this morning.

Having a cold one at the hurricane hole.

Caught mine on live shrimp too. They wouldn't even look at a croaker. Earlier this week I was next to a boat that was fishing with croakers while we were using shrimp. We were both catching, but they were catching 17-18" consistently while we were catching 14-15".

I knew something was up when i stepped out of truck and thought everyone was using corks then realized it was orange bellied top dogs. Got a few blow ups on it, broke off jack which took my top dog. Ended up working trough and catching a limit of reds on gulps. Guys around me with shrimp were catching pretty steady. Only saw a few caught on topwater.
