Bigger specks show up in the fall
Pretty much this. Although you can still catch keeper specks under the lights, most of what you will catch now is going to be white trout.
I never fish during the day, but wait until after 11pm and go fish the lights. Think small; panfish lure small- 1/32 or 1/16oz jigheads. If you have a fly rod, bring that and have a blast catching 10-1 vs the guy next to you fishing with dead shrimp.
