My mom lives in the haven and said there's an evacuation of the entire neighborhood going on. She said her house is far enough back to avoid flooding but there's only one way in & out so everyone must go.
Damn, I was casually looking at 2 houses in there but I guess I will scratch those bitches off of the list.
IMO the houses inside of the neighborhood are safe, but that manadtory evacuation is a huge inconvenience for the 590 out of 600 houses that will not see water.
bullshite- I live in the Haven and I haven't heard anything about an evacuation. From what we've heard, 37.5 is the magic number in our neighborhood, and that's just the lowest house in the subdivision.

What's the word on if the casinos will close or stay open?
and GUMBO not surprised my mom can exaggerate things at times…no one at the haven has been asked to leave at all?

This is almost correct, but the number is 38 feet. At least according to my moms, husband. They live by that pond thing across the oxbow. Said the pond is going down, but the oxbow is not.
