Why not? The way I understand it, the only difference between a replica and a mount is that the taxidermist applies the fishes skin between the form and the paint but it's still a foam form and it's still painted.

ETA: OP Depends on what's considered a trophy for the particular lake and if it's free via a lunker program. But definitely will be replica.
