re: Rice def. Houston 3-2 in 20 innings

I've always been cool with ULL calling themselves "Louisiana." Texas is only one of several UT's--Austin, Dallas, Arlington, San Antonio, Tyler, etc. I know there's no comparison as far as student population and level of athletic competition but if ULL wants to be THE university of Louisiana, fine by me. The nerd in me thinks it'd be cool if they kept getting bigger and eventually joined the big 12, stadium expansion, etc. Yeah-recruiting yada yada but as a Louisiana native that wasn't alive during Tulane's "glory days" I'd love to see LSU/UL as more of an event.
