I just sold my POS MacBook that I used during college. I don't use a computer much these days, but I still think ill need one around the house.
I'll basically use it for the following:
Run excel, office & PowerPoint in case I leave my work computer at work.
Hold 500 ish songs
Browse Internet to shop and pay bills.
I know I could probably go buy a really cheap one and it would do just what I need but I'd like it to run fairly quickly.
Thanks

Go buy anything. If you want the quickest, buy anything with an SSD.

Go to Best Buy or any other computer retailer, look at any Windows PC or Mac. Try out the keyboards, look at the screens, and overall size/weight. And just pick one. Because specs don't matter for what you want to do.

Pretty much any new computer or laptop can do what you need. Just find one you like for a decent price.

Lenovo has a pretty good track record.
Get the most recent technology you can afford.....be aware of pentiums with new exterior etc. unless that don't bother you.
