I honestly think this cop may be mentally handicapped.

(video picks up as guy is filming police in a park from 150 feet away or so. The cop starts waddling over.)

Guy: why do you have your taser out?
Cop: put camera down.
Guy: it's not illegal to film police.
cop: yep
Guy: no sir.
cop: you're being illegally detained
Guy: I'm being illegally detained? (sounds confused)
cop: put the camera down.
Guy: what am I being detained for?
Guy: (asks what crime he is suspected of)
cop: interference
Guy: by standing?
cop: no, earlier when I saw you.
Guy: I've never seen you before in my life, sir.
cop: i saw you about five minutes ago.
cop: put the camera down, you're being illegally detained.
Guy: I'm being illegally detained (incredulously, again)
cop: legally
Guy: What have I done wrong?
cop: if you resist my lawful detention you'll be placed under arrest
Guy: what crime have I committed?
cop: resisting an officer. put the camera down.

.. it escalates from there.

I'm sure he's an obnoxious jerk- but arresting for resisting detention and the detention being for what starts as "threatening gestures" that the cop can't describe degrading to "you know what you did" and further evolving to detention for "suspicious behavior approaching the building (water fountain) and walking back" is pretty maddening.

If the kid didn't have video who knows what they charge him with simply on the cops word. I tend to think there are a lot of good ones but the damage a bad one can cause with no repercussion is more than a little worrisome- even as an average joe that keeps in pretty risk free spots. Simply crossing paths with the wrong guy at the wrong time can wreck a life quick

That cop may be one of the most retarded cops I've ever seen, and that's a really hard accomplishment to earn.

I didn't watch the video, but these situations sort of make me feel like a hypocrite. While I don't want to be filmed while doing my job, I have no issues with citizens filming police interactions.

I work in outpatient surgery and parents often want to film their kids being discharged following IV sedation. I need to have the parents' attention to explain any further post-op instructions and also, the kid usually uses the camera as a cue to over-act and cause problems. But it feels so wrong to ask them politely not to video things because it seems like I'm being sketchy.

I realize what I do is completely different than what a cop does.

Another resisting arrest when there is no attempt to arrest in the first place. Some cops won't ever get it.

At the end of the video he accuses the officer of being a "homo" because he touched his dick while searching him. Where are the SJWs to accuse this young man of being homophobic? That is the bigger issue. The gay slurs cannot continue like this.
