I've been playing forever and never knew this thing existed. I have a hard time playing a 6 stringer as it is; I can't imagine the dedication it takes to plays the Stick.

The first time I ever saw a Chapman Stick it was played by Tony Levin of King Crimson fame, among others. Check out videos & music of Tony Levin.

Interesting. That video instantly made me think of Run Like Hell by Pink Floyd

A lot of people thought Eddie Van Halen invented "tapping" until it was pointed out that that Chapman developed the two hand tapping method of playing in 1969.

15 year old me at a market in London thought this was the coolest thing ever. Debated buying one and switching from guitar. Saw a guy playing at the market and bought a CD. You can do some cool stuff with them.
Eliah Levy was his name I think.
