I missed my flight leaving Hawaii once. Whoops. Work was pissed at me but it so wasn't a big deal at all.

I had a rental vehicle that I had to turn in and the guy that was shuttling people from the rental place to the airport decided to take some time off while I sat there waiting. When he finally showed up and got me to the checkin, they had shut down all of the security checkpoints except for one and it was a crazy long line. I finally got through security and grabbed my shoes off off the conveyer belt and was running barefoot through the airport trying to make it to the gate....the attendant person saw me running and said my name and was like "sorry you missed it". Well, Damn. I went back to the rental place, got my jeep back and went back to my friend's house and went out the next night.
