I saw this live, and couldn't believe that he pulled this. After getting fired from SNL and slowly building his career back, getting a movie deal and triumphantly returning as host to SNL, he slams the show in his monologue. I could not believe what I was seeing, so fearless and awesome, but I'm sure it permanently hurt his career.

"And finally, the Oscar nominations were announced this week. Tom Hanks and Jodie Foster are in a heated competition in the Academy's controversial new category: Best Retard. "
