The Frying Pan Tower is a privately owned surplus Coast Guard Light Station located 34 miles off the coast of North Carolina that is being restored with the assistance of people like you!

The Frying Pan Tower is located out of sight of land in 50' of clear blue Atlantic waters! With the Gulf Stream close by, we often are pleasantly warm when it's still cold onshore and mild when it's too hot to walk on the sand at the beach so don’t let a great weekend go to waste, contact us today!

$498 per person for 3 days, 2 nights on the Frying Pan Tower

I like the isolation better. It would really suck in a hurricane though.

what would really suck is if you were shipwrecked and swimming and came upon the frying pan and then couldn't climb up.

man, that would be a hell of a fishing camp!...I can't tell how it would work out for that, but I would absolutely rent it if it were in some good fishing grounds and would work out for the boat, etc...

I guess you have to have at least a 26 footer boat and be an experienced boat captain to go there via private boat and not a chartered boat or helo ride out of Southport NC.

Most of those looked like Thresher sharks which are pretty docile with divers (unless you have some speared fish with you).
