I have used the multi attachment parts with generic on sale trimmer heads for many years now. I usually get 5 years or more out of a trimmer head. None of the attachments have worn out. I have brush cutter, tiller, hedge trimmer, polesaw, blower, and of course straight and curved line trimmers.
The cost for all attachments, and 10 years worth of heads is less than the stilh polesaw. What's more is stilH polesaw is HEAVY in comparison and not as length adjustable.
Eta; never buy electriv or gas powered tools at HF. HF is great for unusual size tools that you will use infrequently.
