Option 1: Voyage Charters out of West End Tortola.
Option 2: Moorings out of Road Town Tortola
Definitely go with the Cat.
I think it would be great to bring the kid, but it somewhat depends on the kid. No better way to help them be confident and learn about the power, science and beauty of sailing. If you are the overly nervous type or of the kid is prone to motion sickness or is a general complainer-type, it can make the trip very difficult.
Wish I had grown up sailing.
Have a good trip.
