yeah I don't want to lose, but it's an enviable position to have

no matter what happens we are a national seed and most likely number 1 overall...if not, number 2...I'm hoping it's LSU/UCLA or UCLA/LSU as the top 2 because I do not want to face them any earlier than potentially the championship series.

LSU has nothing to gain or lose. That's why they usually roll in Hoover. They're relaxed.

Yeah I agree. I don't want to face them, but would love to beat them in the championship. That would be a tough fought series.

Rabbit: No worries. I just can't believe it's gotten to this point of 100k. It's slightly depressing...although about 25k of it is probably drunk posting in baseball and football threads so really I'm around 75k according to my memory

Don't worry about the drunk posting. It's still an accomplishment.

Besides, if only quality posts counted, I'd still be in triple digits.

Well that's simply not true. LSU played it's way into a national seed last year by winning the tournament.

one of the best trips I've taken even though we went 0-2

I was basically drunk for two weeks tailgating and partying downtown every day and night and still somehow managed to go to about 11 or 12 of the games.

Only doing the first weekend this year but if LSU makes it and then goes on, I'm planning on going back since I fly.

But that's what LSU does. It routine to play in big games or games that matter. Even if it's been several years since a national title, LSU wins damn near every big SEC game they play in. Players that play not to lose usually find ways to frick it up. Players who play relaxed make it routine.

I'm in awe of it. Up 10-5 last night at 10:00 Hoover time and your fans were louder than Alabama fans have been all year in Hoover. Fans don't win games, but it's an attitude and an approach to the game the impresses me. I want our team to have it because it makes the game fun.

They were extra loud last night. I watch just about every game, and usually when we go up a few run and have the game seemingly in the bag, it dies down some. Maybe Guillot wanted to put on a show or the hype of postseason is getting to the fans. I agree, they were not just loud, but consistently loud and were doing it when we were up pretty nicely which is kind of a surprise.

FWIW it solidifies him being the 3rd starter in the regional/supers instead of pitching the first two games
