1) You have to be thinking ahead to the future for that
2) It's free tuition to a Louisiana public university, which many out of state people would laugh at.

If I was on the fence on moving back and had kids within stricking distance of college, that would be a huge plus for me to consider the move. I guess it doesn't matter if they did 2 or 3 years out of state and then finished in LA????
As far as the reputation of a public university in LA, I don't see LSU grads being held back when they move over here.
