Don't get me wrong. I like that the world is complex. I like they don't feel the need to retell the origins anymore, but has it gotten a little too big?

I took my nephew to see Avengers today, and I found I couldn't just lean back and enjoy the movie. I was trying to remember all the little subplots and interpret all the references to previous movies and television shows. It kind of ruined the movie for me a little bit.

I think that's why I liked Guardians so much -- and others did too. It's a Marvel movie, but didn't involve any of the previous titles in anything more than a minor way. That allows you to just enjoy the movie.

Civil War is supposed to have about 20 characters in it, that's a bit ridiculous IMO.

Some people are burned out I guess.

I am absolutely not at all though. I love them. They are the only movies I actually go to the movie for anymore.

People have waited 2-3 generations for comic book movies to be mainstream and getting the respect it deserves and now thanks to improved movie making technology, it's finally here.

If you don't like it, don't see them.

I think it's much more than that.

It's that none of the movies outside of Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, the Avengers and Iron Man really did anything to move the story forward. They feel like just fan service and don't take any risks.

That's how I feel about comic books.

The films, at least right now, are much easier to get into as a new fan. It's part of the reason why I love the Marvel movies so much. They provide a starting point that will naturally become more complex as time goes on.

There are a lot of things to be concerned about. This isn't one of them.

Were there just to many comic books and different characters when I was young? No. I picked and chose what I wanted.

Do the same with the movies in the MCU or don't watch at all.

Whole lot of whiney noncomic book reading pussies in here.

This last avengers movie is the best marvel movie made to date and it's hands down the best adaptation of the Hulk over put on film.

I'm loving these movies and cannot wait for civil war and the infinity series.
